REVIEW DRAMA SQUID GAME
First of all, this is just my personal opinion and review upon this drama. To me, this drama I would rate 6/10. Why I rated it only 6? So here's why.
I didnt find this drama as fascinating as others find it. It's cool to watch scary scenes of death but I would prefer more series like Saw or Final Destinations. To me, this series actually contain too much of contents that are dangerous to under age fellows. I would love if people stop promoting this drama so much because it does no good to the kids. Kids also watch netflix, remember?
The story started dengan seorang lelaki yang terbeban dengan hutang. His marriage failed and his daughter was going abroad with her new family (the mother married to another man). His (Seong Gi Hun) mom also had a terrible illness and need money for treatment ASAP. One day, he won lottery i guess and then the lintah darat came to ask for money (but the money was robbed by a woman who later he met in the squid game). He went back and while sitting at the train station, here came Goblin(haha i just call him Goblin la sebab he's famous with the title Goblin), offering him a lot of money if he can win a game.
He decided to give it a try and got into the game. There was a lot of people joining the game. None of them was expecting bad thing could happen to them if they failed the game ; they will be killed. So the first game was the Red and Green Traffic Light Game. Many was killed in the game and everyone was trembled in fear. So they all decided to quit the game (they were only able to quit and terminate the game without anyone losing lives if all/majority of the participants agreed)
They went back to their lives but life was even more rough outside. Many gave it a second thought and came back to the game including Seong Gi Hun. He was the hero here. There were 6 games to be finished and only one winner will survive (if there's anyone that can survive). So day by day, nyawa looks like nothing in this drama.
In conclusion, pengajaran memang banyak, but only if u take the lessons seriously and learn through it. But this drama contains too much violence, killing scenes and mature scene that are not suitable for kids. Until the end, I actually didnt understand why in the world the atuk developed the game in the first place but had to kill those who failed the game. I meant, it's about life? Even they entangled with debt outside, there could always be another chance for them and dying isnt the only way. What about the family? The motive and storyline itself is kinda off with reality, but only seems cool with the killing dying scenes.
But again, this is just my personal opinion. Overall, I think this drama is just ordinary; to be watched if im too boring. I managed to finish it too since it was just 9 episodes in total, but if there was more, i dont think i would be able to finish them all til the last episode.
People with strong mind can give it a try. But dont let your underage kids watch the drama. They might terikut-ikut dengan scene keganasan pukul ii and everything.
